Race Hill Etiquitte


  • Whistler Weasel WorkersNo “skiing” on the course , and never carve a turn on the “track”;
  • Always “side slip” or “snow plow” down the course;
  • Come down the hill on the sides of the course next to the nets unless instructed to slip the course by a crew chief or a coordinator;
  • Always look up hill before you get on the course;
  • Leave no litter on mountain, carry out your lunch debris, string, tape, etc.;
  • Try to bring items up hill in the AM(shovels, rakes, mulch, etc) and things down at the end of the day; when cycling, always loof for things to carry., including skis and gear of crews working below you.
  • On race days, know the racer intervals and have a start list;
  • If you don’t know how to do something ASK ;
  • When leaving equipment on the hill leave in established stashes where possible;
  • Never carve in the finish area;
  • Never cross live finish timing or block intermediate timing eyes;  (as a rule, don't ever ski across the finish line on a race or training day)
  • Take no large equipment pn the Creekside Gondola without permission.


Beer Tent Etiquitte


  • Take NO drinks outside the tent.
  • Don't bring guests who are not volunteers themselves, they won't get in.
  • New in 2008  ...   a first for the Weasel Beer Tent!   Minors will be permitted!    HOWEVER, MINORS MUST NOT DRINK (any alcohol)      Don't abuse this!
  • Observe the 5-meter rule.........after being served, carry on your conversations away from the bar.   Don't crowd the bartender..... he bites.
  • No Smoking in or near the tent,     Another  advance in 2008......  an outside smoking area were drinks are allowed.
  • Move along after a couple of hours.  The tent is open for 3 hours to provide for people who are late off the hill.  Limit your intake.  Don't become a liability.
  • Clean up after yourself!   The Beer Tent crew are NOT janitors.  Also, we RECYCLE.  PLEASE DO IT TOO!
