The
Dave Murray Men's
Downhill course for
the 2010 Winter Olympic Games has been in use for World Cup, National
Championship and NorAm ski racing since the 1970's . In
preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the Dave Murray
course has undergone a number of changes. At the Expressway
crossing, the tunnel has been re-built for skier traffic, Coaches
Corner has been widened, removing the requirement for an A-Net, and the
lower course below Coaches
Corner has been relocated to the north so as to make room for the new
Franz's Ladies Downhill. From lower Coaches/XY Junction, the
Dave
Murray course
crosses the slope on Powerhouse Trail and then turns down hill at
the Olympic Slalom Start to run parallel to the Ladies
course.
The Dave Murray Men's Downhill and the Franz's Ladies Downhill share a
common finish area at the Timing Flats. This page shows

taken in February 2008. Links are provided to photos taken
