The
Ladies Downhill for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games has been recently
constructed from existing ski runs on Whistler Mountain's south
side. Starting on Wildcard, the Ladies Olympic Downhill
turns north,
traverses Jimmy's Joker and then turns back to cross Highway 86
and join lower Franz's Run. The course follows lower Franz's
to
Frondala where it turns north again to drop beside the lower Dave
Murray Mens Olympic Downhill. The course then follows beside the lower
Dave Murray to the finish at Timing Flats. The Ladies course
is being called "Franz's Downhill" after Franz
Wilhelmsen, founder and first President of the Whislter Ski

Joker Traverse. From a steep fallaway turn, the course

4 & 5 - Jokers Traverse and The Tunnel. The course
exits Jokers Traverse and crosses the public ski run at the Tunnel.
The tunnel below the course is wide enough for two snowcats
to pass. |

Olympic downhill leaves lower Franz'z and drops down to meet and run
